Arshad Chaudhry Arshad Chaudhry is the Chairman and founder of the Asian Business Development Network, now known as ABDN. A dynamic professional with a passion for ICT, he is a director and senior consultant to the HCA Group of accountancy practices. He developed the HCA Group from humble beginnings 30 years ago to a substantial regional practice. |

He is Chairman of
Spirit Resource an ICT company based in Leeds with its back
office in Karachi. He was Group Internal Auditor for the
Burton Group (now called Arcadia Plc). He is a director of
the Partnership Investment Fund and has been on the boards
of several institutions in the Region. Arshad helped setup
CHEL, a flagship inner city regeneration company and was its
Chair for a number of years. He has been a director of the
Leeds Chamber and a governor of the Leeds College of
Technology. He is keen to develop international trading
links and has recently led UKTI sponsored trade missions to
India and Pakistan. Fanatical about cricket he lives with his wife and three children in Alwoodley Leeds. |

Ritchie Kilner Ritchie Kilner was born in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire in 1959. He was educated at Holme Valley Grammar School and gained a mathematics degree at Nottingham University. Ritchie qualified as a Chartered Accountant with leading multi-national accountancy firm, KPMG, in 1984. After spending three years gaining experience in the offshore tax haven of Jersey in the Channel Islands he joined the Leeds office of a large national firm, Haines Watts where he became a general partner. |
| ln 1993 he joined together with
Martin Johnson to form Kilner Johnson Associates. His areas
of expertise include computers, personal and corporate taxation,
business planning and forecasting, accounting preparation and
audit. Since then Kilner Johnson Associates became absorbed
into the KJA Group as it grew into a major Accountancy Practice
through several acquisitions and significant organic growth. In June 2003 Ritchie began to work alongside Arshad Chaudhry within the HCA Group of Accountants based at the Roundhay Chambers in Leeds. He continues to provide top quality, cost effective advice to his clients on a hands-on basis whilst also becoming more involved with the development of the HCA Practice. |

Richard Bowers Richard Bowers joined Midland Bank, which subsequently became HSBC Bank, from university in 1979. Following a traditional branch banking career path, which included management of two branches, and stints at head office,he began to specialise in commercial banking in 1990.In 1998, Richard moved to Bradford to launch the South Asian Business initiative in the North East.
